Rodolfi Mansueto welcomes the visit of EFSA’s scientific network
Rodolfi Mansueto recently hosted members of EFSA’s (European Food Safety Authority) scientific network dedicated to plant pest surveillance. The visit, led by the plant health services of Emilia Romagna, provided an important opportunity to showcase the company and its production processes, from the harvesting of tomatoes in the fields to the creation of final products for the market.
The EFSA scientific network on plant pest surveillance aims to improve coordination and collaboration among European Union member states in the fight against pests. Composed of national experts, the network is involved in planning and conducting surveys on quarantine pests, analyzing results, and providing training on topics related to plant health surveillance.
This network serves as a crucial platform for sharing information, methodologies, and best practices among member states. By exchanging data on new emerging pests, their distribution, and monitoring strategies, European countries strengthen their ability to detect and respond effectively to phytosanitary threats.
