Rodolfi and DeliSoil together for more sustainable and circular production

We hosted representatives of the DeliSoil project at our Ozzano Taro facility for an innovative European initiative aimed at transforming food industry by-products into safe and sustainable fertilizers. During the visit, participants attended a presentation about the company and explored the production areas involved in the studies conducted within the project.

Rodolfi Mansueto is an active partner of DeliSoil, concretely contributing with waste materials generated from our production. These materials are used to develop solutions in line with the project’s objectives, which aim to reduce waste and prevent environmental risks.

DeliSoil, supported by a European consortium of 14 partners from 10 countries, promotes the valorization of food industry by-products, offering farmers organic fertilizers that improve soil health, in compliance with the EU Fertilizer Regulation and the “Farm to Fork” strategy for sustainable agriculture. The project involves various sectors, from vegetables to meat, as well as olive oil and wine production, working in collaboration with other European projects and the European Soil Observatory to achieve the goals of the Mission Soil initiative.

“The circular bioeconomy offers a tremendous opportunity: up to 20% of food in the EU becomes waste, a large part of which occurs during processing. With DeliSoil, we can transform this waste into organic fertilizers that replace mineral ones, contributing to improved soil health across Europe,” stated Ansa Palojärvi, the project coordinator.
